How to Keep a Positive Vibe During Lockdown

In trying times like these where we need to hold on to each other more than ever. How are you guys, holding up so far? The ongoing Pandemic affects our lives in different ways. We seek and find ways to stay sane inside our homes or in places we currently live. Here, we’d like to share with you a few ideas you can do to help you cope up — at least something you can do to divert your attention from the negative emotions as it arises from the pandemic:

1. Start writing a journal.

To clear off what’s occupying your thoughts once in a while, start writing a journal. Write anything you would want to write about - be it something that happens to your normal day; something that you are grateful for, a letter to your current self, things you plan to do when this is all over, anything under the sun. As long as you let it out and take off something that could have been bothering you for a long time.

2. Find a support group.

On your free day you might want to invite a few friends or family members to meet them on virtual catch up sessions online. Schedule e-numan sessions, host an online game, or activities that can possibly be done through online where everyone can get along and enjoy. It’s always a nice feeling to know that you have people in your life where you can vent out your frustrations and anxieties. A safe space where you can talk about your anxieties and frustrations. This will also remind you that you are not alone.

3. Try a new skill.

If you don’t know yet how to cook, it’s time to learn your favorite dish from your grandmother’s. Create a bond with your family through cooking and other learning activities you can do as a family. It will strengthen your family relationship as time goes on. You have been wanting to learn a new language? Go enroll for online classes, or watch Youtube videos for free. It’s never too late to start.

We all wish for the time to be back where we can already hug our loved ones outside freely. See other people’s smile without a mask. But as for now, we’ll have to adapt to the current situation the best we can, and please know that after all of these coping things you have done, no matter what we feel right now during this time - it is all valid.
